Accessibility Statement

Modern Storage® is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, and to providing the same information and services to everyone regardless of how they access the site.

Accessibility is treated as ongoing work rather than a finished state. We review it as the site changes.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as a design and development target.

We have not completed a formal third-party accessibility audit, so this is a statement of the standard we work toward, not a claim of conformance.

Practices we apply as the site is built and updated:

• Meaningful alternative text on informative images, including facility photography.
• Semantic headings and landmarks so screen-reader users can navigate by structure.
• Keyboard access to interactive controls, with visible focus indicators.
• Labelled form fields, and validation messages that are announced rather than shown by colour alone.
• Colour contrast checked against the brand palette rather than assumed.
• Layouts that reflow to small screens and to zoom without horizontal scrolling.
• Respect for the operating system’s reduced-motion setting, so animation is suppressed when you have asked for that.
• Content that remains readable if scripts fail to run.

Some parts of the site are outside our direct control and may not meet the same standard:

• The online reservation and move-in flow is provided by a third-party rental platform.
• Embedded video, podcast, and social content follows the accessibility of the platform hosting it.
• Interactive maps are difficult to use without a pointing device — every facility’s full address and phone number is also given as text on its location page, and directions are available as a plain link.
• Older blog posts and PDFs may not meet the current standard.

If any of these prevents you from getting information or completing something, contact us and we will provide it another way.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, please tell us. Email info@modernstorage.com with:

• The page address where the problem occurred.
• What you were trying to do.
• What happened, and what you expected instead.
• The browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using, if you know.

Reports are treated as bug reports, not complaints. They are the fastest way for us to find and fix a real barrier.

If any part of this website is not accessible to you, we will provide the same information or service by another route.

• Call the facility directly — every location page lists its phone number, and staff can answer questions, quote availability, and start a rental over the phone.
• Email info@modernstorage.com and we will respond in a format that works for you.
• Visit a facility during office hours, where staff can help in person.

There is no charge and no disadvantage in using an alternative route.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports promptly, tell you what we found, and — where a fix is needed — tell you when to expect it. Where a fix will take time, we will offer an alternative way to get what you needed in the meantime.
