We’d like to help put an ease to your moving day worries. We’ve put together some answers to the most common concerns new storage customers face.

Will Your Storage Unit Be Secure?

Our staff is welcoming and our office environment at every location is beautifully upgraded with a modern edge. At Modern Storage, you can feel secure in your storage decision every time you stop in.Each Modern Storage location is equipped with top-of-the-line security cameras, exterior lighting, and controlled access gates. When you start moving into your storage unit, you will know immediately that we care about the safety of you and your belongings.

What Do I Bring on Move-In Day?

Moving into a storage unit at any Modern Storage location is easy as pie. The only documentation required to start your unit rental is your driver’s license and our “New Customer” form. This form is just a quick way for us to obtain your contact information for our system. Within minutes we will have a rental rate, lease, and personal gate code pulled up for you and ready to go! From there, you can access all your account information online throughout your lease with us.

Are There Tons of Paperwork?

Nope! Thanks to the power of technology, we will only require ONE signature from you to take care of all your documentation on move-in day! How easy is that?

How Long Does Signing Paperwork Take?

We know our customers are busy bees. Because our leasing process is so simple, most customers on move-in day are only in the office for about 10 or 15 minutes from start to finish.You’re welcome, of course, to hang around and have a cup of Starbuck’s coffee and a cookie with us at our West Little Rock location!

Will I Be Locked Into a Long-Term Lease?

Not at all! At Modern Storage, all our rental agreements are month-to-month. Your lease allows you to move out at the end of any month after providing a 10-day notice.

What Fees Do I Pay on Move-In Day?

The only fee you pay on your move-in day will be your first month’s rent.If you move in after the first of the month, your rent will also be prorated. That means if you’re moving into a storage unit on the 15th, not the 1st, you only pay for half the month!There are no hidden deposits, taxes, or fees associated with signing your rental agreement. All you pay is the cost of renting your storage unit.

How Do I Use the Move-In Truck?

The paperwork for our FREE truck rental is very simple to fill out and can be done the day you move in. We will verify the condition of the truck with you before it leaves the facility and review all the ground rules. Then, one of our staff members will be on site for you when you return the truck to ensure your trip went smoothly.

Do You Offer Any Moving Amenities on Site?

We do! We have plenty of space for driving and maneuvering your vehicle to make unloading and moving into a storage unit that much easier. Each storage building is equipped with push carts to help you transport your items back and forth. During office hours, someone will also be available and eager to answer any questions you may have. We also offer helpful moving supplies to get your through your first day such as boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and mattress covers. We hope this makes moving into a storage unit less stressful for you.
