Are you not sure what size unit you need? Not familiar with dimensions and what fits? No problem! While you are on our website, modernstorage.com, click on storage tools. That's where you will find a fantastic resource called the storage calculator, which recommends precisely what size unit you need for your items. The storage calculator tells you how your items will fit in the space while also letting you know if you will need a bigger unit in the future if you plan to store more.
So, how do you use it? That's easy! All you need to do is select which items you plan to store. We have items organized for you at the top under "SELECT ITEMS TO STORE." These items are divided into seven groups: beds, couches, tables/chairs, furniture, appliances, electronics, and miscellaneous. It also tells you how much space you have left and how much you have used. The diagram also shows where those items can be placed in color coordination with what you have selected, so you know you have an organized plan come move-in day!
Need to reorganize or reconfigure the size of the unit you need? Simple! Just click the trash can icon on the right beside the items to store, and it will clear out all items you have selected, so you have a fresh start! Moving should be as stress-free as possible.
