If you’re ready to learn how to store your car, we’re ready to offer our expert advice. Here are a couple of tips we have on preparing your vehicle for storage. #1: Stabilize Your Fuel Before leaving your vehicle in a storage unit, always make sure it has fresh fuel in the tank. If the car will be left there for several months, you can also add a fuel stabilizer. This helps prevent: your tank from rusting your gas from evaporating, and your fuel system from deteriorating. All in all, it helps to maximize your fuel and save you money. #2: Add Fresh Oil Just as you need to add fresh fuel to your car, you also need to add oil. Old oil can start to thicken and deteriorate if left for an extended period in a storage unit.
